Mimi Gilbert is an independent artist who has spent the better part of the last 10 years
living, touring and creating music in Australia and New Zealand. Previously based in
Melbourne now back in Ojai/ Los Angeles, Mimi embodies a deeply-crafted, indie
folk-inflected approach to their songwriting.
Mimi’s journey began at age 15 when they started busking on the streets and train
stations of the West Coast, an experience that shaped their love for music and people.
Whether recording in the studio or performing live, Mimi’s music is driven by the
desire to follow the feeling and connect with real, breathing humans
The critically acclaimed alt-folk artist, returns in 2025 with new music. Fresh from
supporting Julia Jacklin and Angie McMahon on their U.S. tours, they are set to
release their album, Undrowning.
