Born in Texas and raised in Mexico City, Hector Waluyo is a DJ, record collector and founder of the renowned record shot Twelves, after moving to California at the age of 18 he spent the past 17 years collecting record and traveling far an wide for them, where most find their home as a curated selection available at Twelves.
His dedication the vinyl community coupled with his vast knowledge in music has made Twelves as a destination in Long Beach for those far and near, while simultaneously landing him DJ residencies in Long Beach and Los Angeles, such as at LA’s longest running soul club, Funky Sole.
His curation and efforts at Twelves have been recognized by Los Angeles Times and LA Mag, listing the store-front as one of the best independent record stores in and around Los Angeles n 2022, and 2023.
