Jahwy
Founder of Fugutive Sound, Jahwy has been a cornerstone of LA’s underground bass scene since 1996. His custom-built sound system has powered seminal events like I Love LA, Breakbeat BBQ, and LA’s Outlook Festival launch parties, delivering heavyweight vibes wherever it lands.
A junglist at heart, Jahwy’s sets are a journey through drum & bass, UK garage, UK funky, reggae, steppers, deep dubstep, and hip hop—always with a sound system mindset. His deep crates are filled with both released and unreleased gems, reflecting his extensive network of UK and European producers.
Beyond the decks, Jahwy co-founded the influential I Love LA event and was a co-owner of Zen Beats, a record store in Uptown Whittier, CA, which served as a hub for vinyl enthusiasts and DJs alike. He’s also a key member of Ghetto Life, Tons of Drumz, and U.N.D. (Up Never Down), collectives that have shaped the West Coast’s bass music landscape.
Jahwy’s performances have graced stages across California—including LA, San Diego, San Francisco, and Pomona—as well as Las Vegas. Internationally, he’s played six times at Croatia’s renowned Outlook Festival, including their iconic boat parties.
