Serafia is a 2024 grant recipient of Rissi Palmer’s Color Me Country Grant Fund supporting country artists of color all over the US and a member of the Color Me Country Class of 2025.

Born in a small town in Northern Iowa, Serafia was adopted at birth and at age 3, her father a preacher, her mother Filipino scientist, and her fellow adopted Korean brother, moved out West to a small rural community outside the famous farm & rodeo town of Salinas, Ca
Serafia credits her multi ethnic upbringing to her ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
Considered a vocal prodigy as a child by her music teachers, Serafia had perfect pitch & an ear for music that spanned far beyond her youth. In her late teens, she moved to Austin, Texas and began her career as a musician & worked many odds jobs to keep herself afloat including back up singing for The Chainsmokers, a Bud Light and Jager girl and illegal poker waitress.
