Still Water Oldies is a soulful, feel-good curation project created by LA native and cultural curator Rod Gee. Born from a deep love for timeless music and community, Still Water Oldies brings the classics back to life—fusing Oldies, Funk, and Old School into one unforgettable experience. Whether spinning at the LA County Fair or hosting intimate throwback parties across Los Angeles, Still Water Oldies is all about bringing people together through sound.
Founded by Rod Gee—TV/film producer, DJ, and hip hop historian—Still Water Oldies reflects decades of work at the intersection of music, storytelling, and community building. With a career that’s spanned MTV, NBCUniversal, and now Revolt TV, Rod has helped shape the soundtrack of a generation both in front of and behind the camera. Where We’re From: The Elements Documentary, which Rod co-produced and edited, chronicles the rise of LA’s underground hip hop scene, and his Twitch/TikTok DJ sets continue to spotlight music’s power to connect and inspire.
