Shontice Marie

Bakersfield, California native, Shontice Marie, is a solo indie singer-songwriter recognized
for her gritty soulful musical style influenced by blues, old-time folk, country, reggae and
jazz.
In 2024, she released her first solo EP, titled “Act II” and founded The Songwriter’s Soapbox,
a monthly series that showcases original music by local Bakersfield songwriter’s.
