The BMC’s (Blunted Microphone Creations) are veterans of real hip hop, representing Los
Angeles, California with a style that’s as timeless as it is fresh. Meeting at San Diego State
University the crew—made up of Mik3, Naturale, Pook Diesel, and on the 1’s and 2’s Taylor
Tosh—carries the torch for authentic, golden-era-inspired hip hop, while pushing the culture
forward with a modern edge.
As proud members of the respected Likwit Crew, The BMC’s draw heavy influence from iconic
collectives like Duck Down, Fab 5, Heltah Skeltah, and their Likwit family Tha Alkaholiks.
Their music is a seamless blend of sharp lyricism, raw beats, and soulful hooks, channeling the
spirit of 90’s hip hop while carving out their own lane. With two male MCs and one female MC,
they have often been compared to groups like The Fugees, Digable Planets, and The Black
Eyed Peas, thanks to their dynamic energy and diverse chemistry.
Supported by West Coast legend King T and guided by producer and A&R DJ Broadway, The
BMC’s built strong affiliations beyond just hip hop, linking up early in their careers with rock/hip
hop group P.O.D. and touring nationally alongside Slightly Stoopid. Their reach has since
grown internationally, with performances across Germany and beyond, proving that their sound
resonates far past the streets of L.A.
With a deep respect for the culture, relentless hustle, and an undeniable stage presence, The
BMC’s are true architects of the new golden era—representing the past, present, and future of
hip hop.
