SOCIAL DRAG is the Los Angeles -based, ’90s rock-inspired solo project
consisting of lead singer/ guitarist/ songwriter Emily Hulslander. The
self-titled debut EP “Social Drag” relied heavily on a more ‘90s alt-rock, full
band sound, drawing inspiration from various ’90s rock bands such as
Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, Weezer, and so on. Recently Hulslander has
been on a sonic path of exploration towards more stripped down, guitar and
vocal -driven songs, allowing for intimate solo shows with the focus on
stunning melodies and confessional lyrics.
