Rachel Baldwin is a songwriter and performer based in Los Angeles, originally from Cape
Cod, Massachusetts. Baldwin’s distinct sound is reminiscent of both the classic crooners of
American folk and the current cheekiness of female-fronted indie rock. In her songwriting
she utilizes both literary allusion and biblical allegory, inspired by a love of modernist
literature and a troubling religious upbringing. She often writes about tumultuous
relationships, the interior world, or the occasional horror film. When she’s not writing and
performing, she hosts at an open mic in Eagle Rock.
