Described by the CBC as ‘one of the shining jewels in the crown of Canadian
songwriters’ Jadea Kelly spends her time writing and living between rural Ontario
Canada and Los Angeles CA. In 2016 she was awarded ‘Contemporary Singer of
the Year’ at the Canadian Folk Music Awards for her heartfelt 2016 release ‘Love &
Lust’. The featured single ‘Beauty’ was placed on the Lifetime Network feature ‘No
One Would Tell’ and the 2017 CBC Rio Paralympics Terry Fox Tribute.
Her fifth studio album ‘Weather Girl’ arrived October 11, 2024. A majority of the
album was produced by Jim Bryson, as well as select tracks from Rich Jacques,
L.A Recordings and Billy Lefler. It received a feature on Billboard Canada, Sirius XM
‘North Americana’, EXCLAIM! and CBC. One of the primary singles, ‘Thirteen’,
reached #5 on the CBC top 20 countdown.
