Kalpulli Teuxihuiti is a traditional Aztec dance group with origins in Mexico. In fact, we participate in ceremonies throughout the year and are part of a much larger indigenous community. We are not a business nor performers. This is a way of life, that we have been committed to for over 30 years. Consequently, the Ramos Family was given permission, from our elders, to begin a group in our neighborhood over 15 years ago. In pre-pandemic years, we consistently offered free classes twice a week to the families of Ontario. Currently, students are instructed in song, percussion, dance, history, regalia, and traditional etiquette. Kalpulli Teuxihuiti offers these classes so that the spiritual traditions left to us by our ancestors will continue to gain strength and be passed on to the generations to come. We are proud to say that our children are continuing in our footsteps and our group is now multigenerational.
