East L.A. quintet Yungatita leapt onto the scene with the organic viral success of their bedroom pop tune “7 Weeks & 3 Days.” Led by Valentina Zapata and backed by a crew of veteran Latinx rock scenesters, “7 Weeks” has been racking up almost a million Spotify streams a week after its explosion on TikTok. Spotify has also featured Yungatita songs on Lorem, Undercurrents, Aesthetic, and Today’s Indie Rock. Yungatita is finishing an album planned for Fall 2023.
