DJ Defcon

Based out of Los Angeles, DJ Defcon is known for his versatility style of mixing and scratching which has made him the ideal open format DJ. Djing since 1995 his knowledge of music spans in every genre including Indie Rock, Punk Rock, Rockabilly, Underground, Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, R&B, Reggae, House, Jazz, & Latin Music, which his sets are characterized with non-stop energy, surprises, and
music that will have you constantly move to the beat. Defcon developed and honed his skills, making his mark in the best L.A. & Ventura County Nightclubs.
Over the course of his 30 years career, some of Defcon’s accomplishments include being an opening act for artists like: Bruno Mars, Marc Anthony, Coldplay, H.E.R., Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Gwen Stefani, Usher, Beyonce, KRS-
One, Too Short, Dom Kennedy, Freddie Gibs, Grouch & Eligh, Visionaries, Jurassic 5, Lootpack, Awol One, DJ Quik, Chuck D, Common Kings, Tyga, Joey Quinones (Thee Sinseers), and performed at celebrity events like: Tiger Wood’s annual Tournament parties, Celebrity Playmates Parties, Souljah Boy’s Birthday Party, Laker Legend, Byron Scott’s Fire Relief Celebrity Golf Tournament. Defcon has also made numerous TV and Radio Show guest appearances including FOX 11 Good Day LA Weekend Getaways and Q95.9FM Rico & Mambo Show. Defcon has also co-created along with 5 other members, a live online streaming show called
the Barnyard Mixshow. This was a platform where deejays and emcees can
showcase their talents. The Show was founded in 2013, and is now 5 Seasons in.
Each season consist of 12 episodes and a finale. Some of our past guest have
been Legendary DJ’s Curse, Icy Ice, D-Styles, Mr Choc of the Beat Junkies,
Turntablist Champions include Manwell, Flip Flop, P-Trix, K-Swizz (NZ), DJ Woody (UK), DJ Grouch (Canada) to name a few. Defcon currently resides and rotates weekly at local venues and a Elite DJ for Wedding’s/Quinceanera’s/Corporate in the Ventura  County & Los Angeles area.
