Ross.DJ”wHat?!” RudeBoy Selecta Party Rockin’ Crowd Favorite Born in the Philippines and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Ross.dj”wHat?!” sites family, culture, education and a love of spreading joy through music as the roots of his inspiration. From the family living room, to dances and shows, he was often around the turntables where he eventually gravitated. With support from family, friends and community, a natural gift and a talent in selection, mixing and rocking events, he soon became a crowd favorite. He soon linked with other skilled DJs and eventually this led to the formation of the pioneering DJ crew, The Beat Junkies. He was also a member of the first DJ crew to anchor a prime time TV show (FarmClub). He later founded Channel Rock Movement, a collective focused on playing nightclubs, community events, global showcases and international festivals. Later he helped form the U Create Youth Workshop which teaches digital arts to underserved youth in Los Angeles. He has performed alongside artists such as Grand Master Caz, KomboMC, SuperNatural, Visionaries, Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, Black Love Radiators, Half Pint, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Scientist, Romain Virgo, Capleton, Tippa Irie, Shinehead, Johnny Osbourne, Cutty Ranks, Damian Marley (Jamrock Tour) and Stephen Marley (Mind Control Tour), Damian Marley & Nas (Distant Relatives Tour) J Boog, Knaan, Big Youth, Rakim, U2, NWA, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, No Doubt, Beck, Eminem, Green Day, Outkast, Method Man, System of a Down, Stone Temple Pilots, Wu Tang Clan, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, EPMD, Ginjah, Jah Cure, Bounty Killer, Sean Paul, Tarrus Riley, Romain Virgo, Busy Signal, Shaggy, Morgan Heritage, Stone Love, David Rodigan, Renaissance Disco, Saxon Sound, King Jammy’s Sound, Bass Odyssey, Mighty Crown and a host of DJs and Sound Systems worldwide to name a few. He stays active in the Los Angeles scene doing residencies, private events, premieres, launch events, and takeovers.
